You're absolutely right Maddie. If I were forced to choose between the two, I would certainly go with Ed, but he sounds too much like Limbaugh for me, I think it may be his accent, or his vocal cadences, but it's annoying for me.

I watched Cenk yesterday (so you don't have to Tongue

) to see if he was going to be talking his same ol' smack about what a wuss Obama is. It practically killed him that he had to be more moderate with his criticisms. I wondered why he was more moderate. I did find out towards the end of the show.

Ed was on with Cenk and he was totally low-key and complimentary towards the President. I think Ed is finally beginning to understand that Obama does not tip his hand when he makes his moves. That's who he is. That's how he's always going to be regardless of who doesn't like it. (I'm talking to you professional lefties and wannabees).

Towards the end of the show Cenk showed the poll where only 9% of the respondents disapproved of the President's SOTU proposals. So, apparently Cenk didn't want to be in that minority for one day. What a fool he would have looked like to be ranting on the president's proposals when 91% agree with them. Big Grin

I tuned in for my usual 5 minutes this morning and he was saying definitively and arrogantly that the health care bill was unconstitutional, as if he even knew there was a Commerce Clause in the Constitution.

Mika did even roll her eyes at him on this one and Ed Rendell was curiously mute.

I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one who find Cenk annoying. I also find him annoying that he says something is ironic when it's not ironic(most of the time it's hypocrisy)

Oh, and I got "Turk Of The Day" once from Cenk four years ago when I called into the radio show, but that was before Mr. Obama getting elected president and sending Cenk off the rails.

During the '08 campaign, I used to love to check out Cenk's daily segment online, and was hoping he'd get a bigger break. Now that he has a wider audience, he uses his platform to constantly drain away Democratic support for the President?! Absolutely useless.

He and Ed Schultz need to go somewhere and fuck themselves.

I will never forgive "Big Ed" for telling people not to vote in the midterms. That sonuvabitch was at least partly responsible for the mess we're in now.

I forgive people. I watch him mostly every night. I just flip the channel if he gets obnoxious, though there are times when you need to bust on your own side. The fact that news has become so partisan that we expect our "side" to never be critical or go on a tangent when they are clearly "opinion" shows is unrealistic.

Went off on Democrats during the same period last year:

Rachel - check
Big Ed - check
Chris Matthews - check
Cenk - check
Keith Olbermann - check
Guests on all of the above shows - check

Occasionally going off on Dems when you feel they are partially responsible for the situation they find themselves in is part and parcel of not being a Republican where marching in lockstep is what has us in the trouble we're in today.
