The only thing I don't understand is how any thinking human being could even consider voting for a Republican today.

Right wingers go on about "Taxachusetts." Makes me wonder how Rmoney got elected governor of that state. State level politics seem very different than national level, even in the same state.

According to the local yokels they believe every lie put out by the rightwing media. The same lies are repeated daily, from the Kenya birth to the socialist entitlements and everything in between. They don't think, they live in fear.

Let's see... the man on the left is genuine and honest and cares about working people.

The man on the right talks out of both sides of his mouth and likes to fire people.

That's how they do it. During the Korean war that sam tactic was used on POW's, and it really does work. It is also used in religious "cults" and high control religions repeat the same things over and over meeting after meeting and it works for them and it indoctrinates the children who start hearing it from day one. Those who listen to fox news are being indoctrinated daily with the right wing likes and since that is where they get all their "unbiased" news from they buy into it. It's a great brainwashing technique.

As you said they live in fear because the right has used fear to control their base for decades.

Fox and talk radio really are a brainwashing cult. Another tactic of cults is to make sure people believe the cult is the one and only source of truth. They try to limit their followers exposure to other viewpoints and get them to dismiss info from anywhere else.

The "liberal bias" mantra is part of getting Fox followers to dismiss any factual information. No one but Fox can be trusted. Nothing but Fox/talk radio should ever be watched or listened to.

Do you ever notice how Fox cultists respond to being proven wrong? After dismissing truth for having "liberal bias" and being proven wrong over and over again, they won't change their views. They just stop sharing their views with liberals so that there's no chance of them being corrected. This is why all the Fox/talk radio message boards are private and not viewable to the public. They don't want liberals coming along to post facts.
I've even seen messages rationalizing why conservatives shouldn't share certain information with their liberal friends. The only real reason is that their liberal friends might respond with reality.
