Memo to Republicans: Obama Is Tougher on Iran Than George W. Bush
The Atlantic: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/arch...sh/253366/
Quote:The Obama Administration, through its stalwart opposition to the Iranian nuclear program, has narrowed Iran's maneuverability, and forced the regime to make some obvious errors (the alleged sponsorship of an attempt to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington, for instance). It is precisely because the Obama Administration has constructed a sanctions program without precedent, and because the Obama Administration has funded and supported multinational cyber-sabotage efforts against the Iranian nuclear program, that Iran is panicking and lashing-out. More at the link - including Romney and Santorum's predictable falsehoods and vague, saber-rattling nonsense about the topic: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/arch...sh/253366/ |

Definitely tougher.....and smarter. Instead of running his mouth President Obama is making a difference with the sanctions. If he gets Iran back to the table I'm sure the GOP will be screaming about talking to terrorists. I wish they'd just go away before they screw it up.

You know, Jaxx, it's stunning to me that Republicans, who ran for almost a decade on their spectacular failures regarding 9/11, are still trying to say the same things about Pres. Obama - the president who brought an end to bin Laden - that they were saying in 2008 about candidate Obama. It makes them come across as completely dishonest/insane. Obama is amazing to me, though, in that he keeps his focus in the right place, and just quietly goes about the task of dealing effectively with national security issues. |
