Actress in Hoekstra ad apologizes
http://www.politico.com/blogs/david-cata...14643.html
Quote:Lisa Chan, the actress in the infamous Pete Hoekstra ad, takes to Facebook to apologize: ------------------------------------------------------- I'm glad she did this. We all make mistakes -- just usually not Super Bowl-sized ones. |

RE: Actress in Hoekstra ad apologizes
I wonder if reading that in the code for the ad she was referred to as "yellow girl" hurt. I'm glad she apologized too, it was a stinking ad.

RE: Actress in Hoekstra ad apologizes
I heard one pundit suggest she could apologize by doing an ad for Debbie Stabenow.
I think that would only be fair! "In a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act." --George Orwell |

Indeed, Jaxx. And the clown Hoekstra had the nerve to crow that it was a "very effective ad." Effective alright -- I read somewhere yesterday that Debbie Stabenow is now leading Hoekstra by over ten points. I'll try to find the story and post it.

RE: Actress in Hoekstra ad apologizes
I saw the ad and it's sad that it has come to this. I don't which is worse, doing the ad in the first place or having to apologize for it.
If there were any questions about how "post-racial" we are, I think they've been answered.

RE: Actress in Hoekstra ad apologizes
It's great that she apologized, but seriously I have to wonder about this woman. She seems reasonably intelligent. Why did she take the job in the first place? I mean, how far do you have to read into the script to see what it's about?

Of course, she could have stuck to her guns and become a Fox News contributor. |

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous |
