CPAC 2012 ... The GOP come together
Okkkkk this is the week all the pubbies gather together to throw those demon Democrats to the wolves....the wolves meaning the minions who vote Republican, or might if they lose the rest of their concervative minds. I'll be adding to this as the wingnuts speak, trying to one-up each other with how bad President Obama is and how wonderful they could would be.

First up....the Schedule-Of-Events. Amuse yourselves and read through it, noting it runs through Saturday. And that Sister Sarah Palin is the last speaker.....red meat mama to fire up the hatred and sent them out of there like raging bulls.

Susan Eisenhower? THIS Susan Eisenhower? Facepalm

Endorsement of Barack Obama

Although a lifelong member of the Republican Party, Eisenhower endorsed Barack Obama for president of the United States in 2008.[7][8][9] Eisenhower announced on August 21, 2008 that she was leaving the Republican Party and becoming an independent.[10]

She spoke on the final day of the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Her speech was delivered at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, and began with, "I stand before you tonight not as a Republican or a Democrat, but as an American."[11] The full transcript of her remarks as delivered[11] are on her website, as well as video of her remarks at the Convention.[12]

First up, the godfather of the tea party:

DeMint at CPAC: Compromise Is the Enemy

—By David Corn
| Thu Feb. 9, 2012 7:18 AM PST

The first major speaker at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference, an annual gathering of right-wing advocates, grassroots activists, and politicians (including 2012 contenders), was Republican Sen. Jim DeMint, who had a fundamental message for the base: compromise sucks.

GOPers on Capitol Hill should not be looking to work with Democrats to develop common solutions to the nation's woes, he proclaimed. Not at all. Not ever. And DeMint, with an I'm-so-clever smile, offered what he obviously thought was a killer analogy: the Super Bowl.

<..> The problem was not that the shared goal of deficit reduction could not yield a bipartisan compromise. The Gang of Six showed that it could. The issue was that Republican extremists would not accept even an agreement devised by fellow Republicans. They just wouldn't play ball—and that's hardly a course of action that Tom Coughlin would advise his players.

With that the magic door to la-la land opens.

Second White Nationalist Appearing At CPAC

—By Adam Serwer
| Thu Feb. 9, 2012 8:25 AM PST

Though gay conservatives aren't welcome at the Conservative Political Action Confrence this year, at least two white nationalists are appearing at the yearly conservative confab.

One is Jay Brimelow, founded of the nativist site VDARE which publishes the works of white nationalists like Jared Taylor, and the other is Robert Vandervoort, who runs a group called ProEnglish and according to the Institute for Research on Education and Human Rights, "was also the organizer of the white nationalist group, Chicagoland Friends of American Renaissance," which is affiliated with Taylor.

http://motherjones.com/mojo/2012/02/seco...aring-cpac

Ah they brought the white sheets.

edit to add:
<..> The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Brimelow as a "White Nationalist" and his website as a hate site. Brimelow advocates against immigration and multiculturalism, which he has written "risks making America an alien nation."

RE: CPAC 2012 ... The GOP come together
<..> 11:10 am: Rubio: Obama ‘a terrible president’

In his speech opening the CPAC conference, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio ® touched on every leg of the so-called three-legged stool: national security, economic, and social conservatism.

It was a jokey speech filled with barbs at Democrats — liberals now call themselves “progressive, which I thought was an insurance company” and “It’s hard to get a teleprompter in this town, there’s a guy who uses a lot of them.” He took multiple shots at Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and former president Jimmy Carter.

Obama, he said, “looks like he’s a really good father, he’s a really good husband, but he is a terrible president.”

But there were serious moments too, and Rubio showed why despite his many denials he will be heavily courted for the vice-presidential nomination.

Newt just finished speaking.....I didn't listen. Ezra must have drawn the short straw for this speech.

ezraklein Ezra Klein
Newt: My hope is we'll have repealed 40 percent of Obama's government on the first day. Measured how?

ezraklein Ezra Klein
Newt is arguing we should track illegal immigrants like UPS tracks packages. I wonder if even he knows what he means.
(OMG does that mean a chip in their ear?)

ezraklein Ezra Klein
Not clear how Newt's theory accounts for 2004. Did the Republican establishment suddenly figure toughness out, then forget it again?

Up next.....Andrew Breitbart. I kid you not. The scum sucking bottom feeder from the internet. I wonder if he'll have O'Keefe sneaking around making videos of the people who don't clap.

Watch Andrew Breitbart’s Fiery CPAC Speech: I Have ‘College Days’ Obama Videos
video
by James Crugnale | 6:58 pm, February 10th, 2012

Andrew Breitbart took the podium at CPAC Friday afternoon, introduced to the stage with Rage Against The Machine’s Guerilla Radio, and revealed to the audience he had “videos” of Barack Obama from his college days. “I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart disclosed to raucous applause. “We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.”

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/watch-andrew-...ma-videos/

Soooooo he has videos, and he threw the raw, blood dripping meat to the wolves in the audience. This is disgusting, but also a lesson in right wing hatred and bigotry. Watch it if you have a strong stomach.....Breitbart is filth.

Nice - Republicans want to be the party of evil and hatred.

This will end well.

Not.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous
