NYC 1010 WINS News radio becoming like FOX News - NJMaverick - 04-02-2012 12:15 PM I listen to this station as I get ready for work every day. I first noticed their GOP/Right Wing tendencies when they started using the term "Democrat" when they should have used "Democratic". I also noticed that they would slant their news coverage against the OWS movement. I noticed today while they decided to devote their limited news time to the wrong doings of one of the President's millions of donors, they also gave free air time to Romney playing his campaign speech. Today I also noticed while they reported the 2 experts who had ruled out Zimmerman as the person screaming the night of Martin's murder, they spent their limited news time refuting both experts. 1010 Wins used to be slightly right leaning, now they are full on GOP propaganda in the FAUX News style RE: NYC 1010 WINS News radio becoming like FOX News - jaxx - 04-02-2012 12:21 PM Does Clear Channel own them? Just wondering if they are trying to get out there since Limbaugh is losing them money now. Agreed, Mav. I stopped listening to them a few weeks into Bush's pResidency. Except for giving constant time updates, they're useless. And an embarrassment that in deep blue NY, this is what passes for our most popular radio "news" station. I notice a lot of taxi drivers have switched them off, too. Whenever I take a cab in the morning now, they're usually listening to BBC radio. |
