Little Ricky lives inside of his own little bubble, which is inside the bubble of the Republican party.
I think he probably scares some Republicans.

He would probably scare most evangelicals if they really understood what he means when he says "The Church". Most probably think he means Christianity generally but he is not.
To his ultra orthodox thinking there is only Catholicism as the foundation of all true belief. They hear teh church (without the caps) but he is saying "The Church" (with the caps).

Exactly, pappy. They really don't understand what he's saying. If ever he got into office as President (gad, just the thought of that makes me want to run screaming from the room), they would find out very quickly the he is indeed referring to The Church.

Seems like it's beginning to be evident to lots of people that to Santorum there is only one "CHURCH".
I grew up among evangelicals and I don't think they're quite as dense as Santorum believes.

rather to Rick religion is a justification for him to indulge his baser instincts. It's an intellectual crutch used to prop up intellectually impossible positions. It's a weapon to bludgeon those he don't agree with.
There's a reason Rick thinks the Crusades were a good thing.
